Overview
SCUBA is a vibrant social club designed to foster connections and build community among its members. Co-founded by my good friend Zachariah Sanders and me, our vision for SCUBA was to create a dynamic space where individuals could meet, engage, and support one another, whether they were already friends or meeting for the first time.
My Role
In my role as the creative director, I was responsible for curating the brand’s identity and presence. This involved developing original and engaging content for each event, including creating photos and videos that captured the essence of our themes and experiences. I also handled copywriting to craft compelling messages that resonated with our audience and enhanced the promotional materials for our events.
Each event was uniquely themed to create memorable experiences, and my creative work ensured that these themes were vividly represented in all promotional content. I managed our social media channels, posting visually appealing and strategically crafted content to generate excitement and drive attendance.
Impact
Our events, which attracted over 150 attendees, ranged from social mixers to professional networking gatherings. Through SCUBA, we facilitated numerous opportunities for our members, including job placements and career advancement. The club also engaged in various philanthropic initiatives, enabling members to contribute to charitable causes and make a positive impact on the community. Beyond these tangible benefits, SCUBA has been instrumental in forging lasting friendships and establishing valuable business relationships.
Overall, our mission with SCUBA is to create an environment where people feel valued and empowered, and where they can leverage their networks for personal and professional growth.
